And The Winner of American Idol is . . .

At least my final prediction (here) is correct. And I am really glad that Jordin won... she is young and talented and has a great great voice. I can only imagine the future for her at 17 years old ...
WOW!! She must be the Youngest American Idol!!

Can't wait to catch it on TV tonite!

Jordin Sparks crowned as 'American Idol'
Jordin Sparks, a teenager with a big voice and big dreams, was crowned Wednesday as the newest and youngest "American Idol."

Sparks, 17, of Glendale, Ariz., prevailed over beatboxer Blake Lewis, 25, of Bothell, Wash., after a triumphant performance Tuesday that wowed the show's judges and the viewers who gave her the majority of the record 74 million votes cast.

"Mom, Dad, I love you," Sparks, the daughter of retired NFL player Phillippi Sparks, said after hugging Lewis.

I Think .... Jordin Sparks will be the Next American Idol

After watching the American Idol performance tonite, it can only be Jordin Sparks!!

Blake was called the best performer while Jordin was praised for her stellar vocals. But, “Who will win!?”

That's the Million Dollar Question! I need to admit that my initial forecast was wrong. I did target Blake to be in the finals, but I totally missed out Jordin.

I like the Beat Boxing by Blake Lewis .. but i dont think his charms and his Beat Box will win him the American Idol title. His style is fun and I think he can carry a song, but to win the American Idol .... nah .... doubt that.

In comparison, Jordin Sparks... Woo Hoo... she really out-sang Blake in all three songs. And the song that won the User Submitted Song Writing Competition's THIS IS MY NOW ... is simply fabulous! The song was really great and Jordin handled it beautifully!

Can't wait to catch the FINALS for American Idol Season 6 tomorrow!

Watch the video of Jordin singing This is My Now (or here)

Lyrics : THIS IS MY NOW

There was a time I packed my dreams away.
Living in a shell, hiding from myself.

There was a time when I was so afraid.
I thought I'd reached the end,
But baby that was then
I am made of more than my yesterdays.

This is my now, and I am breathing in the moment.
Because I look around
I can't believe the love I see.
My fears behind me, gone are the shadows and doubts
That was then, this is my now.

And I have the courage like never before, yeah.
I've settled for less now I'm ready for more,
Ready for more.

This is my now, and I am breathing in the moment.
As I look around I can't believe the love I see.
My fears behind me, gone are the shadows and doubts.
That was then, this is my now.

I'm living in the moment
I look around I can't believe the love I see.
My fears behind me, gone are the shadows and doubts.
That was then, this is my now.
This is my now.

5 Reasons why Adverlets Rule!

Have been using a couple of Blog Advertisements for now. And the two that really rocks for us is Google AdSense (needless to say) and Advertlets.

Not being biased or anything, but simply just based on their Pay Out on our Blogs, we are very happy with these two.

We started off with Adverlets only in March, and we saw monetary results in April. Here is why we are suggesting you to choose Advertlets!
  1. The Money is good. We just cashed out today ... Thank You Advertlet$!!!
  2. Advertlets will have ads featured on ALL Malaysian Advertlets regardless of size of traffic to their Blog! Woo Hoo!
  3. Advertlets help tracks the demographic breakdown of your visitors (those that take the poll of course). This really helps u to understand who your readers are. Cos not all readers leaves a comment ... Demographic breakdowns includes: Gender, Age, Profession, Own a Blog? - interesting!!
  4. Advertlets is implementing a Referral System ... still on beta now.
  5. Josh is pretty funny and innovative. Sign up and keep abreast with the evolvement of Advertlets, they have done some good stuff since the start. So you can expect more great stuff from Advertlets. Here's a funnie one.

The above Reasons are valid and experienced by us.
Nope.. Josh is not holding a gun to our head as we type this!

American Idol ...... 2 More Contestants Left .. Guess Who Was Kicked Out?

Aiyoh .. i am so so so so sad that Melinda Dolittle was kicked out from American Idol. After last nite's performance, I was so sure she will stay on to the end!!!

Again America choose to befuddle us with the way they vote and decide on things. So sad lah .. she has the best voice of the three, but she got voted out!!

So who will be the next American Idol? Perhpas Blake with his Beat Boxing lah. But then again who knows how American thinks and vote!!

In this photo made available by Fox Television, Melinda Doolittle performs Tuesday, May 15, 2007 on the set of 'American Idol' in Los Angeles. Most observers thought she was a lock to go on to the 'American Idol' finale, but Doolittle was eliminated Wednesday night, May 16, 2007. (AP Photo/Fox Television, Michael Becker)

Most observers thought she was a lock to go on to the "American Idol" finale, but Melinda Doolittle was eliminated Wednesday night.
The result was a real surprise, considering Doolittle — hands down the best singer there — had the blessing of Simon Cowell. Her departure clears the way for a final showdown between Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis.

"Congratulations to you two. My commiserations, Melinda, 'cause you are one heck of a singer," said a glum Cowell, who covered his face with his hands upon hearing the news.

The acerbic judge had always made clear his affection for the 29-year-old backup singer-turned-diva from Brentwood, Tenn., who delivered knockout performances week after week.

Doolittle, who never hit a bad note during her "Idol" run, seemed resigned to her fate. She belted "I'm A Woman" before leaving the stage.

It's tough to predict who'll win next week's finale. Sparks, 17, of Glendale, Ariz., rose from the bottom ranks to gain much momentum in later weeks, and few would deny her broad appeal to viewers of all ages. The bubbly beauty has charisma for miles — a true American idol, her fans argue.

But the 25-year-old Lewis, who hails from Bothell, Wash., has tricks up his sleeve. As this year's hippest contender, the stylish beatboxer has wooed fans by taking risks with song arrangements and infusing even stale pop songs with contemporary flair.

He had a big "Idol" moment weeks ago when he mixed up Bon Jovi's "You Give Love a Bad Name" to add fresh beats — a move that secured him a spot in the final four. Even Cowell loved it.

Wednesday's show also featured performances by the band Maroon 5 and former contestant Elliott Yamin, who came in third last year.

American Idol - Its down to the LAST 3

Poor thing, Lakisha got kicked out today from American Idol.
What a pity I believe she has the greatest voice from the remaining four idols.

So the "American Idol" title can only fall into the hands of either Blake Lewis, Melinda Dolittle, Jordin Sparks. So who will be next American Idol?

A kiss from Simon Cowell turned out to be a kiss goodbye

A week after so impressing the cantankerous Cowell that he kissed her, LaKisha Jones was eliminated Wednesday on "American Idol." The Fox talent show is down to its final three contestants.

A nervous Jones seemed to have an ominous feeling Wednesday. Host Ryan Seacrest noticed she was talking to herself during one of the commercial breaks, and she admitted to overanalyzing things.

Performances of Barry Gibb songs the night before led to a particularly brutal week of Cowell criticism. "No kiss tonight, baby," Cowell had said to Jones.

He was even tougher on Blake Lewis, calling one of his takes "absolutely terrible." But asked to choose whether Lewis or Jones would be going home Wednesday, Cowell correctly predicted the results from the 45 million votes.

Jones, 27, grew up in Flint, Mich., and is the mother of a toddler. She began singing at age 5, has a passion for gospel but was formally trained in classical music. Tears streamed down her face as she said goodbye — but she stayed long enough to get a career kick-start from "American Idol."

Lewis, 25 and the only man left in the competition, overcame Cowell's attack. The fashion police may not forgive his choice of a t-shirt with a painted-on bowtie Wednesday. Lewis is from Bothell, Wash.

He'll compete against 17-year-old Jordin Sparks of Glendale, Ariz., the youngest performer left, and Melinda Doolittle, 29, of Brentwood, Tenn.

Doolittle, already a professional backup singer, was the first one given entrance into the group of three. Cowell had already predicted the night before that her performance had been enough to keep her in.

Gibb, the former Bee Gee, sang his own "To Love Somebody" on Wednesday's show, which was padded with marketing opportunities. There was even a lengthy tie-in to an action movie that isn't debuting until next month, complete with a visit from Jessica Alba.

Simon Cowell in the Simpsons (Recent American Idol TV airing)

This is such a funny series from the Simpsons, where Simon Cowell is on the other side of the fence singing "Don't Cha".

And the Judges for his Song Audition is none other than the Simpsons family. :)

This little snippet (1 min) was aired in the recent American Idol show - Idol Gives Back!

Watch and laugh along below with the Video, or click here

IN THE NEWS

Out of toon ... Cowell hits bum note on US show and, inset right, Cowell makes his exit
SIMON Cowell met his match when the Simpsons panned his attempt at singing The Pussycat Dolls’ hit Don’t Cha in a special TV charity show.

A cartoon version of Mr Nasty appeared in a Simpsons skit as an American Idol wannabe.

Homer gave his verdict on Cowell’s singing by saying “Lose the accent, Mary Poppins. This is American Idol."

The show’s charity special featuring Bono and Madonna raised £14.97 million for kids in Africa and America.

Idol Gives Back screened by US TV included live performances from Annie Lennox and Kelly Clarkson as well as the talent show’s contestants.

Ellen DeGeneres, who made a personal donation of nearly £50,000, hosted the event.

Yahoo to shut down Yahoo Photos service, promote Flickr

Better move all your Photos out of your Yahoo Photo Albums, cos Yahoo is shutting down their Yahoo Photo services and moving all users to FLICKR ..... read on.

Yahoo Inc. is shutting down Yahoo Photos, an online photo storage site, and asking users to move instead to its Web 2.0 photo sharing site, Flickr, a Yahoo official said.

In June, tens of millions of registered users of Yahoo Photos will be notified of various options including upgrading to Yahoo's Flickr service or various outside-photo storage sites, according to Flickr co-founder Stewart Butterfield.

Yahoo also will offer consumers the option of loading their photos on competing sites when users are notified next month.

Outside sites include PhotoBucket -- the most popular online photo sharing service among users of social network sites like News Corp.'s MySpace -- or more conventional photo printing and storage site such as Kodak Gallery, Shutterfly Inc. or Snapfish, he said.

"Flickr will get top-billing, of course," Butterfield said in an interview late on Thursday about the plan to give users multiple alternatives.

Butterfield and co-founder Caterina Fake, his wife, sold Flickr to Yahoo in 2005. Butterfield is now a director of product management at Yahoo.

Later, Jeff Weiner, executive vice president of Yahoo's Network Division, said in a company statement: "We are making great strides in our ongoing efforts to align Yahoo!'s resources and focus on core strategic priorities."

"Part of this progress is today's decision to close Yahoo! Photos to better serve our valued customers through Flickr."

Yahoo's move follows the explosive surge in growth by PhotoBucket, an independent photo storage site based in Palo Alto, California, from a quarter of the market a year ago to around 40 percent last month, according to Hitwise Inc. data.

In the same period, Yahoo Photos' share has been cut two- to three times over to around 5.8 percent of the U.S. market. Flickr, meanwhile, has grown to 4.5 percent, up from 3.7 percent, according to Hitwise U.S. Web audience data.

Yahoo continued to support both Photos and Flickr over the past two years, reflecting the different audiences of the two sites.

Yahoo Photos is a more conventional photo-finishing site, full of family snapshots, while Flickr has attracted a passionate fan base of amateur and professional photographers who use the site to share digital photos online, and for whom printing is largely an afterthought.

According to data from comScore supplied by Yahoo a year ago, Yahoo Photos counted 30 million registered users, who had uploaded 2 billion photos as of June 2006.

By contrast, PhotoBucket rose to 32 million users in 2006 from 12 million users in 2005. It is set to grow to around 62 million users by the end of 2007, PhotoBucket Chief Executive and co-founder Alex Welch said in a recent interview.

How to Spruce Up your Colleagues Cubicle When they are Away!!

Are there some of your colleagues that are often away on Business Trips or constantly away taking MCs and Emergency Leaves?

Well here are some brilliant ideas on what you can do to their Cubicles when they are away to help Spruce up Life and Fun in the Office.

Things to do when your colleagues are away

#1 – Leave them some flowers

#2 – Leave them some To-Do memos

#3 – Spruce up their work area with some creative décor

#4 – Everyone loves presents!

Unwrapping presents is half the fun!

#5 – Clean their workspace.

And to make sure it stays clean, protect it with something.

#6 – Let them know you looked after their workspace while they were gone

and kept “undesirables” at bay.

#7 – Hand-made gifts. We all love them.

A little masking tape and some styrofoam goes a long way!

#8 – And finally…

If they’ve had a bit of an “extended” leave,

remind them that not much has changed since they’ve been gone.

2 More Kicked Out from American Idol

With no one ousted at the end of last week's charity-focused show, "American Idol" gave the heave-ho to two contestants Wednesday night
— Phil Stacey and Chris Richardson.

The viewer vote tally from last week was added to this week's, with more than 135 million phone and text-message ballots cast in all. Stacey, 29, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Chris Richardson, 22, of Chesapeake, Va., drew the fewest votes. With their departure, the number of finalists is down to four. The winner will be chosen May 23.

Randy Jackson said on Tuesday's program that Stacey's take on Bon Jovi's "Blaze Of Glory" was his "best performance ever." Stacey — a "good man," said host Ryan Seacrest — performed that song one last time on Wednesday, as LaKisha Jones and other finalists wiped away tears.

Richardson, a Justin Timberlake lookalike, hugged "best friend" and finalist Blake Lewis when Seacrest announced he was going home.

"Thank you to everybody for keeping me in this long," said Richardson, before giving a farewell performance of "Wanted Dead Or Alive" — again, by Bon Jovi.

And the final four are — drumroll, please — Jones, Lewis, Jordin Sparks and Melinda Doolittle.

Wednesday's program also featured performances by Robin Thicke and Bon Jovi, the multiplatinum band whose shaggy-haired lead singer was this week's guest coach.

In its sixth season, "American Idol" continues to rule the ratings. It has attracted 26 million to 37 million viewers per telecast this season.
