Do I choose a HTC P3600i or iPod Touch?

Its coming to the close of the year, and this is the time each year when we have to make really really tough decisions in life! (or so to speak!)

I've been really blest in my company, cos each year the Management would sorta reward all of us with a cool year end present.

This year we had to make One decision out of four gift choices.

Out of the Four, i narrowed it down to either a phone or a music player.

SO what shall it be????

The HTC P3600i : HTC Website

Now the phone looks really cool! Though i always wondered why when HTC took over Dopod, why didn't they retain the name as Dopod? Cos Dopod sounds really much better than HTC. (HTC looks like some chinese dude's initial!! U know like YTL, ESH ... etc)

Anyway ... the engine that's running beneath the skin (of HTC) is still Dopod, so i guess its not really a concern. Unless HTC really increases their A&P expenditure and do more re-branding and re-positioning, then perhaps more people would start "liking" to be associate with a "HTC" phone.

Names aside, I've been using my Sony Ericsson K750i (i love Sony E!!!) but lately it has been giving me lots and lots of problem. The joystick is basically condemn. I cant go up, cant go down... and its so irritating when i am typing an sms and when i want to choose one of the other words that the T9 is suggesting!! sigh!!

So ... the phone is a really strong strong contender!! :) Oh yeah .. the other cool point about HTC P3600i is the fact that it has an inbuilt GPS!! Yeah... that's pretty cooool! :)

iPod touch showing different screens
The iPod Touch : Apple's Website

I love music .. as u can see from my worship blog. And i've always wanted to have a Music player where i can store all my fav CDs and songs. And Christmas is just around the corner and there are so many many many many coool Christmas CDs to play!!!

Aiyoh .... i know that the iPod Touch is only 16MB in size ... (very few CDs can be put in) .. but the overall look and fell of the player is really way coool! The interface to run and play the songs will be cool, i can carry all my fav songs with me wherever i go and play it on the fly ..........

SO HOW????

That's the dilema I'm in ..... shud i go for the phone or the ipod?

What say u? Help me!

At Mandarin Oriental Manila

I'm currently staying at the Mandarin Oriental, Manila. Its a nice hotel in the Makati area of Manila. The hotel on the whole is a bit aged, but the service delivery is great.

Mandarin Oriental, Manila

The Mandarin Oriental Manila is a 400+ rooms.

This is a nice garden display of the signature logo of the

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group ... the 11 bladed fan

Happy & smiling Guest Relations at Mandarin Oriental

One thing I personally don't like about the uniforms is

that the Golden FAN at the collar is so HUGE!!!

DSC01156

Lobby area of the hotel.

And true to the Mandarin Oriental tradition, there's

an Oriental looking design on the lobby marbled floor

DSC01154

Love the food served at the Paseo Uno.

This is the typical Hotel's Coffee House.

WHY? Cos they serve REAL Bacon and Pork Sausages..... ooooh Yummy!!

DSC01155

Check out the yummylicious HAM! :)

What's also cool about the Dessert Station is that they

have TWO Chocolate Fountains.

One Dark Chocolate and the other White Chocolate!

How yummy is that!

Day 2 : Toured the Wynn, Macau

We had the opportunity to make a house tour (or hotel tour) of the newest hotel in Macau.

Wynn Macau! It was a gorgeous property, with loads of American Culture fused with the Macau / Chinese ways of things. Check out our House Tour of Wynn Macau!!!

This is the infamous musical fountain right in front of the Lobby.
It plays every 15 minutes, and the fountain & lights dance according to
melodious music that's being played.
[There are two Videos at the bottom of this post - scroll down to watch]

Rather unique, when you enter into the Wynn Macau's Lobby,
you will overlook into the Pool area.

And I guess with CNY coming up, they have nice red lanterns up on the decor.
Uniquely ... there's two camels standing on the water piece.
Hmm ... why camels? (Feng Shui?)

This is their beautiful lobby. (esp if you love red)
The chandelier is TOTALLY HOT RED!
Yups... not coloration done on the photography.
[L ro R] Jess, Lim, Anne, Cindy, Teh, me ]

And now we begin our House Tour of the Wynn Macau.
We were told that Wynn Macau has over 600+ rooms, and
its only like One Tenth of the Wynn in Las Vegas!!

Join us as we toured a Deluxe Room and some Suites

This is their typical Deluxe room. Its about 56 sq metres.
Nice room with twin beds, spacious bedroom and bathroom.

This was the "radio" provided in the room.
Sure tops all the "radio" in the hotel rooms in Malaysia!!!!

This is the Deluxe Room Console.
It has a Clock with Alarm
and the ability to electronically control the sheer curtains, the drapes
and the lights in the room.
[If u think this is cool, wait till u see the Console in the Suite!]

I simply like the Glass Cube where the Lamp sits on.
So so different!

I like the fact that the Electronic Safe (they are using elsafe)
is embeded into the wall of the wardrobe.
Saves a lot of space and makes it looks real neat!
[Shows that they give thought in the designing of their wardrobes!]

I just simply LOVE the Door.
Its so so HUGE!! Its gigantic. Its like an XXL American Size
I'm already over six foot, and the door towers above me.

Do you like the hotel room corridor?
Sure is nice, well lit and creates a nice environment.

This is the sofa seating in the 1-Bedroom Suite.
U seem to see a same trend .. 'bright RED' colors all over the hotel!

Couldn't resist taking a shot of this cool Nakamichi Player in the Suite.

Interestingly enough, their ceilings in the main hall
are covered with Mirrors.

This is the Bedroom of the 2-Bedroom Suite.
Nice room, and you can see two walkways on the Left and Right.
Its made for privacy of a His / Her bathroom on the Left and Right.
And when you walk to the end of the bathroom, you can meet in the Shower.

This is one side of the Bathroom.
Cool bathtub isn't it?

Here's a closer look .. yup .. its equipped with jacuzzi!!

Just like this gold plated sink in the bathroom! :)

This is the Main Hall of the 2-Bedroom Suite.
Check out the LCD TV .. its 62 inches wide! Awesome!!
Do you like the decor .... pumpkin based lampstands!?!

This is the Suite Console I was telling u about earlier.
Isn't it super cool. Touch Screen!!
In English & Chinese Language! How SUPER!

Finally the last shot of the Bedroom.
I simply love the fact that the LCD TV can be
activated automatically, and it just SLIDES Up at the edge of the Bed!
Superly Awesome!! :)

The Musical Fountain at Wynn Macau

Scroll Down to watch it on Video!!!

The Musical Fountain is just Spectacular!!

Whooooosh...the fountain shoots up at the End.

Posing ... after the Musical Fountain show at Wynn Macau.

Day 2 : 2008 Olympics Symbol in Senado Square, Macau

The Beijing Olympics 2008 are around the corner. And we had a pleasant surprise when we were at the Senado Square in Macau. I trust one of their promotional efforts was to feature the following Olympic Symbols for China.

Since I don't read Chinese, I wasn't sure if this was a competition on who will design and create the best Olympic Symbol for Beijing Olympics 2008.

Check it out .. i am sure you will be facsinated like me.

This was a Banner introducing this Exhibition.

As you can see there were many many Olympic Symbols.
I only picked those that i liked!! Hope u like the ones i picked.

The exhibition was out in the open at Senado Square.
And the Exhibits were in twos .. and it went on for quite a bit!

I like this Olympic Symbol, the chrome setting
surrounding the man with the Olympics symbol on top.

This was really unique too. Chrome figurines running thru a boxed frame.

Here's another view of it from the Front. Cool huh?

This was kinda weird. All the people's heads stuck together!
Hmm .. a Ball of Head?
Ball of People?
People with Same Mind Stick Together?
(as in Birds of the Feather Stick Together)

This was super unique. You couldn't see the figurine's face.
His back was to you, and he was looking into a concave mirror.

As you can see i had to be creative to take this shot! :)

Umm .. this was a team of Basket ball players
dunking the basket ball into the Hoop.
Strangely they were stacked on top of each other!

Umm .. as u can see i like Chrome.
But have no clue what these are!!
The Sydney Opera House ? hmm ...

Okies... a man flying off a horse with a Mc D's background.
Yup...the Mc D's background is focus of attention :)

I like this shot .. this super thin figurine
.......... Running ........

This is just CUTE!!

I couldn't remember why i took this shot.
Guess it was uniquely different from the rest!

This was quite spooky.
Three Men, in dark gowns doing a kung fu stance!!

I like this .. a guy and girl holding up the Olympics Rings!!

Two ladies Kung Fu-ing around a round base.

As i said, I hope u enjoyed the Olympic Symbols i chose from the Senado Square. :)
